Our website services – what you’ll get
Custom and template designs – in WordPress and Drupal
Website design is about more than just looks. In fact, the design and layout of your website (along with the text) guide your visitors through their experience there. So strong, purposeful design is essential if you want to capture visitors for many minutes (and many pages) – and ultimately turn those visitors into leads.
We work with two open-source website platforms – WordPress and Drupal – which give us a ready-made framework for your site (like the foundation of a home) and include built-in functionality. Depending on your needs and your budget, we can modify a pre-designed template for you or we can have one of our designers create a unique design from scratch. Either way, you’ll have a beautiful, functional, effective website that hooks your visitors.
Search engine optimization
Search engine optimization, or SEO, “is the process of improving the volume or quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via ‘natural’ (‘organic’ or ‘algorithmic’) search results. Typically, the earlier a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, and industry–specific vertical search engines. This gives a web site web presence and means searchers will find you.
Your website as a lead generator
Most (though not all) of our clients want to use their website as a lead generation tool. In other words, to take nameless, faceless web visitors and turn them into real prospects. To do that, we’ll set up your site to capture visitors’ contact information. Two popular ways to do that are:
- Through an IDX on your site, which allows visitors to search properties on the MLS. You can “gate” that IDX so that people have to give you their contact information before they can search.
- Through a home value estimator, which people also have to register to see.
If using your website as a lead generator is one of your goals, we’ll help you identify the best way to do that (given your niche, and your audience) and we’ll build that into your website. Most importantly, we’ll set up an easy way for you to get your leads from your website into your contact database.
Blog, MLS search, and property listings
People who are in the market to buy a home, or are thinking about listing their home for sale, are looking for three things: 1) Information about how to make the process work; 2) pictures and descriptions of homes on the market (or, for sellers, an idea of how much their home is worth); and 3) help. You can provide all three on your website with:
- A blog – where you offer information for buyers and sellers (see our Blog services page for more details). The best place to host a blog is on your own website (so your blog URL will be "www.yoursite.com/blog"). We’ll help you set up your integrated blog.
- Searchable property listings (for your own listings) - with photos, tantalizing descriptions, even video. Also access to other properties listed on the MLS. We’ll help you set up both. And, for sellers, a home value estimator tool. There are a number of good ones on the market; we’ll help you choose the best and then we’ll integrate it into your website
- In all of those ways, your website will position you as the real estate expert. So when a buyer or seller is ready, they’ll ask you for help. We’ll make it easy with a contact form that links directly to your lead database.
Social media integration
It’s ever more important in today’s digital age to be where your prospects are. Increasingly, that’s on social networks – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Trulia, Zillow, and others. Yet even when you engage on these networks, your goals should be to bring people back to your site, where they’ll find all of the valuable information we’ve described above.
